One way or another, can we agree that the TISE is either the primary stress or a very strong secondary stress.
ˌædvərˈtaɪzmənt means the primary stress is on "taiz", not on the first syllable. So I don't see any differences in what dictionary.com shows as in both the primary stress for advertisement falls on the "taiz" syllable.. Anyway, congratulations for the good content you have been posting! Keep it up!
I know, Marcos. But according to the Cambridge dictionary, for example, the stress falls in the first syllable. Plus, when I'm saying the word outloud, it's kind of hard to make out which syllable I'm actually stressing. I guess maybe it depends on what kind of sentence the word is embedded in… Anyway, thank you for your kind words.It's good to have you on board.
I'd vote for stressing the first syllable of advertisement! That is definitely the pronunciation we use in Wisconsin.
